What is Rotary Club of Karrinyup?
The Rotary Club of Karrinyup was chartered in 1974 and currently meets on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings at 6.00 pm for a 6.30 start. It works in and with both the local and wider communities, striving to make the world a better place, one project at a time.
Description
Located in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, our major fundraiser and community presence is the Stirling Farmers' Market, held in the City of Stirling car park on Sunday mornings.
Our current Community Service beneficiaries include, but are not limited to: Australian Rotary Health, Foodbank WA, Stirling Women's Centre, My Home Project, City of Stirling Homeless Projects, Tranby Hub, Men's Talk, Ocean Heroes and Camp Quality. Previous major projects included supplying a mobile ear clinic to service communities in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and the Karrinyup Community Men's Shed, now an independent entity.
In addition, our International Service arm supports Polio Eradication, Interplast, Shelter Box, Bicycles for Humanity and Wheelchairs for Kids, as well as several projects in Asia and Africa. The Environment team works on projects designed to reduce our impact on the environment and to adopt practices that use resources sustainably. Recipients of Vocational Service funding include the Apprentice Employment Network WA, Dress for Success, and the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) Annual Excellence Awards. Our Youth Service committee supports Rotary Youth Exchange, National Youth Science Forum, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment.

We are everyday people igniting change, helping people and the planet through service above self with local and global projects. We believe in strengthening communities and leaving the world better than we found it.
Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that we meet on the ancestral lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. We also acknowledge the First Australians as the traditional custodians of the lands and pay our sincere respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
