RC Karrinyup Named Best Club of 2021-2022
At the recent Changeover evening Karrinyup Rotary club members were surprised and delighted, when 2021-2022 District Governor Dee Buckland announced the Rotary Club of Karrinyup as the recipient of the District Governor's Award for the Best Club of the Year. DG Dee described our forty-eight year old club as a traditional club, which has transformed into a modern, dynamic club that is going places.
In her presentation to 2021-2022 Rotary Club of Karrinyup President Peter Durrant, who accepted the Award on behalf of the the club, DG Dee outlined the criteria considered, when making selection of the Award. Specifically:
Membership - 12% increase in membership in 2021-2022
Stirling Farmers Market
- now 10 years old
- strong city engagement and used to engage the community
- collect goods for homeless/refugees
Close engagement with the City of Stirling Officials

Aboriginal Projects
- Acknowledgment of Country at club meetings.
- Renaming RDA Carine - Dandjoo Koorliny. The Danjoo Koorliny Walking Together Social Impact Project - designed and led by Aboriginal leaders.
- Golden Project - engagement with the City of Stirling and Wadjak Northside Aboriginal Community Group
Ukraine Support - Produce boxes from the Stirling Farmers Market.

- Signage - Photo Board.
- Vibrant Facebook page.
- Consistent use of a compliant Rotary logo.
- Foundation Alumni dinner.
Visits to other WA clubs - specifically to RC Attadale to share the membership success experience with others.
