A Successful Club Model

Kero O'Shea introduced Karrinyup Rotary's Past President Peter Durrant to present a recent webinar on Rotary Membership Voice entitled 'Karrinyup Rotary - How we've developed a successful club model that builds strong community connections, participation, and membership'. Peter shared details of the club's remarkable story. Rotary Karrinyup was named Club of the Year by District 9455 for the 2021-2022 Rotary year.

Karrinyup has developed a successful club model that builds strong community connections, participation, and membership.

Issues of note covered in the story include:

  • a strong administrative core
  • an essential community service (Stirling Farmers Market)
  • social impact measurement (evolving)
  • an earth committee
  • work with local First Nations people to develop grass roots reconciliation
  • active networking with other clubs
  • succession planning
  • strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • collaboration with youth program participants

and much more.

Rotary Karrinyup is still evolving and growing. Check out the story. Listen to the recording of the presentation, which is available in the Rotary Membership Voice libraries on Facebook and YouTube.
