Induction of President Jenni
President Peter Durrant called President-Elect Jenni Wilke to the podium and inducted her as the forty-ninety president of the Rotary Club of Karrinyup. He said the club was confident Jenni would carry out her tasks with the same zeal she has always shown in Rotary and that he was assured of the utmost cooperation from every one of the club members. He then handed Jenni the President's Chain of Office and her President's badge, congratulated her and wished her a happy and rewarding year. President Jenni then addressed members and guests stating:
'I am grateful and relish this opportunity to lead our Club in 2022 - 2023; our final rewarding year under the District 9455 banner before we embrace the new and exciting future of District 9423.
Rotary International is a humanitarian service organisation, whose goal is to provide Service above Self. Jennifer Jones, the First Female President in Rotary International's 117-Year History, has chosen 'Imagine Rotary' as the theme for 2022-2023. Our challenge is to use our imagination - Imagine all the people - Livin' life in peace.
Be Brave, Intentional, Kind and Respectful. As a human in a humanitarian organisation, I appreciate the opportunity of continuing the great work, long history of positive relationships and outcomes, fun and friendship provided by the Rotary Club of Karrinyup.
This will be Rotary Karrinyup’s 49th year of service to our community and we can be justifiably proud of all we have accomplished. I will work towards continuing peace and harmony in our club, our community and globally to enable our ongoing focus on positive action and better futures for all.
