Collaboration at Mens Life Fest 2022
The Rotary Clubs of Karrinyup and Scarborough joined and collaborated at the incredible Mens Life Fest 2022; hosted on Saturday 5 November from 3.30 pm till 9.30 pm - a late spring afternoon with the spectacular Scarborough Beach as its backdrop.
Thousands of people came out to enjoy Chess games involving opposite ends of male generations, Well-being demonstrations, a range of amazing Support Groups (including Rotary), a variety of international food trucks, a moving sunset smoking ceremony by local elder Len Yarran.
There were live cooking demonstrations empowering men of all ages to cook a perfect steak by the legend Vince Garreffa, Men of The West wowing the crowd with their blending harmonies.
Mens Talk President Paul Litwin has always been interested in men’s mental well-being and the prevention of male suicide, with a vision for all people to openly communicate for wellness daily, in a society free of stigma and judgement. On behalf of Mens Talk AU, he is currently teaming with Lifeline WA in a Hairy Adventure to raise awareness around men’s mental health and the prevention of male suicide in the community.
An inaugural awarding of the Mens Talk AU, Community Champions, to Elder Len Yarran and Vince Garreffa and powerful conversations around men's well-being, the event had it all. The real winners were the community with the spirit of collaboration and harmony filling the air of Mens Life Fest.
Mens Talk AU thanked everyone for their support and motivation to make a difference in our community. Only together can we make the change! We look forward to an even bigger event in 2023.
