Winter Woollies 2022 Well Underway

Our club makes some wonderful connections through our Stirling Farmers Market. Last year, when the club's Winter Woollies project team hosted the community stall to collect beanies, gloves and scarves for the homeless, a lovely knitting group made contact with us. They were very excited to help.

Since then the amazing knitting ladies from the Wembley Church knitting group have produced numerous blankets, beanies, gloves and toys as well as bringing socks along. All the blankets and toys went to Wheelchairs for Kids and the other warm goods have gone to the homeless. One of the ladies also crocheted a beautiful big rug, which was the door prize for the Sundowner fundraiser for Polio last October.

These wonderful ladies, who continually ask what can they do next, have already started off our winter appeal with beanies and scarves such as those in the photo.
