Support for Mens Health 2022
Mens Talk completed a major weekend for Male Mental Health on 26th - 27th November, when they hosted the annual Swim For Life at Scarborough Beach Pool.
Swim for Life started in 2019 as an event to generate conversation around mental health and raise funds for suicide prevention. What started as a small event has quickly blossomed into something bigger than was ever anticipated. Experiencing exponential growth in funds raised, involvement and awareness year on year, this event is a key pillar in the mental health and wellness calendar, not just for participants and organisers but the entire community.
Mens Talk President Paul Litwin, grew his beard, since the start of January this year, as an awareness and fundraiser campaign for better men's mental well-being .
Supported by the Rotary Club of Scarborough, Rotary Club of Karrinyup Mens Talk 2022 Swim For Life at Scarborough Beach Pool smashed records in participation, laps swum and funds raised for Men's Mental Health and the Prevention of Suicide in the community.
The event finished up raising a record $70,545 that will allow Mens Talk to expand mental well-being programs across regional communities throughout WA.
