Camp Quality Activity 2023

Camp Quality gives kids living with cancer the chance to be kids again, providing a support network and a range of non-medical support services for the children and their families. It aims to provide a better life for every child in Australia living with cancer. Camp Quality's programs support the whole family from diagnosis, through treatment to remission or bereavement.

RC Karrinyup has been a strong supporter of the program over many years. Along with our substantial donation this year, a team from Karrinyup Rotary provided support and assistance for some special 'Kids Only Time,' held recently in the Function Centre at the Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA) at Hillarys. There were thirty-five children aged from just one to fifteen years, who Community Service committee member Ross Daniel described as well mannered, disciplined, cheerful, friendly and an absolute delight to be with.

Ross, who organised the Karrinyup Rotary team, said a wonderful time was had by all. He thanked Kay and Peter Durrant, Tess Gardner, Heather Leaney, Beth McCormack, John Maker, Carol O’Lone and Ray Richards for their dedicated support and assistance to this most worth cause.
