Bon Voyage Julia

RC Karrinyup 2020 Rotary Youth Exchange Outbound student to Belgium Julia took off this week with RC Karrinyup  President Richard Prunster among the family members and well-wishers at Perth International Airport to see her off. Julia is very excited to be spending the year living and studying in Belgium. District 9455 Rotary Youth Exchange committee members were on hand to take photos at the airport.

At recent meeting before Christmas, RC Karrinyup Youth Service Director Trish Lynch introduced Julia to club members and presented her with her coveted green Australian blazer, on behalf of the Rotary Club. Julia is just the third student from our link school Warwick Senior High School to take on Rotary Youth Exchange and is very much looking forward to moving outside her comfort zone and broadening her perspective by experiencing life in a different culture.

Karrinyup Rotary wishes Julia all the very best for her adventure and we look forward to hearing regular updates about her wonderful experiences.

Applications are now open for the next group of adventurous high school students who will be 15 to 18 years old in 2021 to be youth ambassadors for Australia and expand their horizons. Read more.
