Presentation of Board of Directors for 2020-2021
Looking to the future, Richard said we will continue to envisage our focus to be on some contemporary impact areas in our community. It is seen that this may further engage connections between the community and the Club and as well as open new opportunities.
The impact areas into the new Rotary year will continue to be Diversity, Inclusion and the Environment. We will continue the work in this area to strengthen these aspects of our club.
The Board decision to create an inaugural Earth Committee will set the Club direction and promote environmental strategies and projects into the future. Rotary International recently announced their seventh new area of focus: supporting the environment. Always the vanguard of new ideals, the Rotary Club of Karrinyup has already embraced this.
More than $18 million in Foundation global grant funding has been allocated to environment-related projects over the past five years. Creating a distinct area of focus to support the environment will give Rotary members even more ways to bring about positive change in the world and increase our impact.
President Richard presented the Board of Directors for the 2020 - 2021 year. This hard working team will take on the responsibility and care of the club during this Rotary year.
