Georgia Rotary Student Program

The Georgia Rotary Student Program has been operating for 69 years. Each year this scholarship program sponsors about 60 students from around the world, who study in various colleges and universities throughout Georgia, USA.

It is a scholarship program and not an exchange with the principal aim of promoting peace and international understanding.

It consists of one full year of undergraduate study and includes accommodation in the college dorm room, tuition, meals and a book allowance. Each student is allocated two or three Rotary “families” who look after the student’s wellbeing.

Emily, who was nominated by the Rotary Club of Karrinyup in the academic year 2012-13, attended Berry College situated in Mt Berry, Georgia. This year our club nominated Lauren, who is leaving on 3rd August for Laurenceville, Georgia. Her chosen field is media. Lauren is pictured here with President Heather and Youth Director Robyn, who was also a GRSP student.

We wish her well in her endeavours.
