2018 RYE Outbound to Spain

Wayne McDonald introduced Jasmine, who is our 2018 outbound RYE student to Saragossa in Spain.  Jasmine told us a little about herself and her family. She has just finished Year 12 at Warwick SHS and is sure she will miss her parents, 14 year old brother and her pet dog during the year she is away.

Jasmine's hobbies are being outdoors, going to the gym, following the West Coast Eagles and meeting her friends.  Sport is very important to her, especially netball and athletics.  She participated in the HBF Run for a Reason last year.  She has travelled with the netball team to Queensland and Fiji.  Jasmine will be going to Notre Dame University when she returns from Spain.

During her exchange year, Jasmine hopes to become competent in the Spanish language, learn about Spanish culture and develop her self confidence.

Jasmine thanked the Rotary Club of Karrinyup for sponsoring her and her parents for supporting her in this venture.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Wayne presented Jas with her coveted green Australian blazer.

The club will soon call for nominations for Rotary Youth Exchange 2019.
