Alta1 Graduation 2022

Alta-1 offers learning pathways to disengaged students. Alternative education programs – in class and online – deliver solutions that include community involvement, therapeutic support and education outcomes.

In recognition of the support Karrinyup Rotary provided to Alta 1 School in Mullaloo during the year, Tess Gardner and Geoff Inman were invited to attend the 2022 Graduation Night at the Mullaloo campus. Local members of Parliament and representatives of the City of Joondalup were also among those present.

The presentation included many awards recognising the exceptional efforts made by students despite coming from extremely challenging backgrounds. The enthusiasm and positive caring nature of teaching staff and support workers was plain to see and the students' faces were inspiring as a result.

Over one hundred and fifty students were recognised during the evening and now have further incentive to become productive members of our community. The aim for Karrinyup Rotary Club is to continue support for what is a truly caring environment for young people, who are struggling with their lives.
