Update on Back to School Grants 2024
Kick-started by the Karrinyup Rotary with funds raised at the Stirling Farmers Market and with the balance funded by the RAWCS - Rotary Australia World Community Service, a fundraiser was set up to receive an initial donation from Greenlight Foundation. It was subsequently added to by supporting Rotary Clubs and individuals. The Back To School Grants Program has to date approved 73 Back to School Grants for 2024 totalling $14,100.
"Thank you very much for your care and support. Words cannot describe my feelings and gratitude to you. I just checked my bank account and the money has already arrived. You are doing an amazing job helping parents prepare their children for school. I thank God that we are in Australia now and that my children have a happy and safe childhood."
This is just one of the many appreciative messages we have received for our Back to School Grant program for those in Australia, who have fled the War in Ukraine.
Such a wonderful outcome - we wish all the children a fabulous start to their new school year!
