Catching up over Breakfast
In 2011 the Rotary Club of Karrinyup (District 9455) sponsored two young people to attend a special Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) “Peace Conference” in Turkey. On several occasions Nic has told us how attending the Peace Conference turned his life around and gave him a huge sense of direction and purpose.
The trip exposed him to the concept of working in the field of international relations and striving towards building a better world. He enrolled in a BA in International Relations (with history as a second major) at Curtin University.
Now working and living in London, Nic is finishing his degree by external studies. In Perth recently for quick visit, he caught up with club members over breakfast at our Stirling Farmers’ Market. Our photographer caught him there with Past President (2010 – 2011) Peter.
